How does summer reading work?

Register

Sign up online at Milford Beanstack. Preregistration begins on May 17th but you may not begin logging books until June 1st. You may want to download the Beanstack app on your phone.

Read and Log Books

The Milford Public Library summer reading program runs from June 1st – Aug. 12th. After you read a book scan the ISBN from the back of the book to the Beanstack app or manually add it to the webpage. To complete the children’s summer reading challenge, you must read and log 20 books. Virtual raffle tickets can be earned by completing summer reading and completing 3 book summaries. A computer will be available in the children’s room to log books.

Books can be graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks, ebooks, or hard copy books.  You can read books that you own, library books, or borrowed from any source.  If children aren’t reading yet, someone can read to them.
