Smile, You’re a Friend!!!

About the Friends of the Milford Public Library:

The Friends of the Milford Public Library (FMPL) is a separate 501(c)(3) volunteer group whose mission is to support and promote the goals, activities, and operations of the Milford Public Library (MPL) through various fundraising events, sales, and volunteer support. FMPL works in concert with library staff and leadership to encourage community use and public awareness of MPL’s educational, recreational, and cultural events, physical and electronic resources, and traditional and emerging technology.

The Friends of the Milford Public Library rely on the donation of books and puzzles to supply inventory for our regular sales. All items should be in good condition, free from water damage and mildew, and other significant defects.

Donations are usually accepted by FMPL on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Alternate days and times can be accommodated, when necessary. Please call the Library Director, Lea Rosell, at (302)422-8996 to make arrangements.

FMPL does not accept:

  • Aged textbooks, reference materials, and/or dated non-fiction books.
  • Other obsolete technology and physical resources like VHS tapes, audio cassettes, Reader’s Digest condensed, encyclopedias, etc.

FMPL does accept other items of interest, including but not limited to:

  • Books
  • Puzzles

If you have questions about donating other items, please visit the Friends during collection hours, or call the Library Director, Lea Rosell, to discuss suitability.
