Borrowable Materials
To borrow or checkout library materials you will need a Delaware Public Library card. To register for a library card please bring a valid photo ID and proof of a Delaware mailing address to the upstairs circulation desk. Most library materials checkout for 3 weeks, including Books, DVDs, Music CDs, and Audiobooks. All of these items have a late fee of $0.10 each day per item, except for DVDs which have a $1.00 late fee per day per item. Chromebooks and Mi-Fi (Wi-Fi) Hotspots checkout for 1 week. Most items can be renewed as long as they are not on hold for another patron.

Other Materials
These are our in-house materials…
- Wireless Internet access through our public Wi-Fi “Library-Public” is available after agreeing to our Acceptable Use Policy.
- 28 public computers are available – 23 for general use, 1 for research in our Delaware room, and 4 for our public catalog. There are also five Early Literacy Stations in the Children’s Room.
- These computers have Internet access and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
- Use of our computers is limited to 3 hours during peak periods otherwise use is unlimited.
- Wireless Internet access is available after agreeing to our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Use of the Internet is governed by the Delaware Library Computer Acceptable Use Policy.
- There are five Early Literacy Stations in the Children’s Room, complete with different software: Early Literacy Station Software (ages 2-6), After-School Edge Software (ages 6-12), & ELS Bi-Lingual Spanish
- Black and white/color printing is available from all public access Internet computers. Wireless printing is also available. Black & white printing is $.10/page. Color printing is $.25/page.
- A copy machine is available for black and white/color copies. Black and white copies are $.10/page. Color copies are $.25/page.
- A scanner is available for patron use. This machine allows documents to be scanned to an email or a USB drive for free.
- A fax machine is available for patron use. This machine only allows outgoing faxes at $1.00 every page. International faxes are more.
